Most of my followers know, since its opening, Topolino Terrace became a fast favorite and must do of mine when visiting Walt Disney World. Now that our world is a bit less…..well, normal, it is still a favorite, even with its recent changes! So many of you have been asking and wondering about character dining since the recent reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, so we visited Topolino for their amazing character breakfast so we could let you know about the changes first hand!

Situated at the top of Riviera Resort, Topolino was the perfect place to start our day! This restaurant’s wide open seating area was ideal for appropriate social distancing and gave tons of room for the featured characters to roam and still interact with guests while adhering to the new guidelines.

As with all Disney restaurants right now, we were presented a QR code menu that allows you to view the restaurant’s offerings via the My DISNEY Experience application. While the menu is limited, there was no shortage of amazing choices! As most of you also know, Topolino is a pre fixe menu at breakfast, which includes shareable pastries, and entree, and beverage of your choice. While we had heard prior to this, that due to the pre fixe menu, you are able to order multiple entrees at the single charge, upon investigation we found this to be……..sorta true! Allow me to explain.

You can order your one main entree, however, you cannot order a full second entree. You can, however, request a side order of another entree! These are much smaller in size, but allow you to choose a couple of different options which is nothing short of delightful!

And while to food is amazing, let’s chat about the real reason for our visit, our artistic friends! Special introductions and songs throughout the meal are still happening! As well as the characters “stopping by” each table! The interactions seem even more special and intimate to me! Exaggerated expressions and gestures from the characters to guest and selfies all around make for a truly interactive experience. I still felt that “Disneyland” feel during our time at Topolino. And, the more I thought on this altered character dining, the more I realized, this may be the perfect opportunity for skittish little ones to warm up to characters if they aren’t too keen on hugs just yet!

I still felt that this character dining was a wonderful experience! The food, interaction, and the signature service at Topolino always leave me with a smile! This is a definite must do whether visiting the parks during the reopening phase or in the future! You cannot go wrong with Topolino Terrace!
