I know that when most folks think DISNEY, they think of kid stuff, but our Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin brunch was anything BUT just for kids! Whether it be a girl’s trip, honeymoon, anniversary trip, or solo DISNEY adventure, there is so much to experience at Walt Disney World as an adult!

Best girls morning ever!

A few weeks ago, we set out on a beautiful Sunday morning to check out Chef Art’s Rise and Shine Southern brunch offerings and had the best girls morning ever! Eating, laughing, and sharing a drink was just what the day ordered!

I’m sure most of you have heard about Chef Art’s famous southern fare with a twist. He’s definitely a favorite of mine to follow with his healthy, comfort cuisine as well! And this particular meal was as spectacular as you might imagine! Rich comforting flavors of cheddar biscuits and fried chicken, mixed with lighter tastes of fried green tomatoes and amazing house made specialty cocktails! Not to mention the fact that the atmosphere and staff are literally out if this world!

The Rise ’n Shine Brunch

“Join us for a special Southern-style brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Tempt taste buds of all ages with a savory selection of feel-good dishes, including fried chicken and house-made sugar doughnuts, short rib hash and an open-faced biscuit topped with Chef Art’s famous fried chicken, 2 over-easy eggs, pimento cheese and pecan-smoked bacon smothered in sawmill gravy and served with a choice of side.

And what’s brunch without cocktails?

Enjoy crafty libations including white peach sangria, mimosas with fresh-squeezed juices and an over-the-top Bloody Mary with all the fixins’. Pinkies up!

Full menu also available after 11:00 AM”

My favorite thing to grab at Chef Art’s is the Fried Green Tomatoes, so of course I was happy to see them a part of this specialty menu. We also tried the Granddaddy plate and the Hallelujah biscuit! BUT, my absolute favorite thing…..the house made Blueberry Mimosa! Wow!! One of the best twists on a mimosa ever! Such a bright and bold flavor, it did not disappoint!

I always find that brunch over at Disney Springs is a great way to begin a rest day during your stay! It’s nice to sleep in a bit, head over to Springs for an amazing brunch, then head to a park or back to the pool at your resort! This is definitely my idea of the ultimate relaxing day! Add some of your favorite friends and it makes for the perfect Homecomin’!

Check out some of our amazing families and their MAGICAL travels!
