Disney DESTINY Cruise Preview: Heroes, Villains & Unforgettable Magic at Sea

I am STILL reeling from my preview sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney DESTINY.

This was a collection of firsts for me for sure! A new ship, an official christening, the list goes on.

Honestly it would take days of writing for me to even begin to tell you all of the amazing things about this ship and my experiences, but I will try to do this in time for you to have a couple of cups of coffee!

This ship…Disney DESTINY.

The first thing I will say is that the vibe on this vessel is so much different from the others. Heroes and Villains rule this ship! This is a ship and experience for the family of kiddos that are not princess crazy. Think Avengers, classic Disney like Hercules, and our favorite villains we love to hate. Every space is crawling with details and Disney magic, but in such a different way.

Experiencing an official christening of a Disney ship is something I never dreamed I would see in person.

So safe to say, I was blown away. Fantastic music, celebrities, an unbelievable drone show, and so much excitement.

DESTINY definitely got the blessing of a send off she deserved.

The layout of DESTINY is nearly the same as WISH and TREASURE, but the unique spaces are even more fantastic.

Cafe Megara, The Sanctum, DeVil’s, the Haunted Mansion Parlor and so much more. Every area takes on its own personality.

Disney fans from absolutely every spectrum can find places on this ship to enjoy their favorite type of Disney fun!

Staterooms on DESTINY are no exception to the fantastic thumbing and overall vibe of the ship.

Mulan, Big Hero Six, Brave, Raya, Hercules, and many more.

Each deck has its own theme for staterooms with unique artwork in spacious quarters that families will absolutely adore. Inside, Oceanview, and Verandah staterooms make it easy to find the type of accommodation that fits your travel party the best both in comfort and in budget range!

Anyone who’s even thought about taking a Disney Cruise knows that one thing to look so forward to are the Broadway style shows.

This ship is no exception.

Having sailed as many times as I have, I have seen nearly every Disney show aboard the ships…BUT, the feature show on DESTINY, Disney Hercules, raised the bar to levels in the like of New York’s west end!

The cast was fantastic, the puppets, performers, and props are unbelievable, and those MUSES took this whole theater to CHURCH!

Best singing hands down! It is a complete must not miss!

Dining on DESTINY you will mostly find familiar if you have sailed any of the Wish class vessels. 1923, themed for the early days of the Walt Disney Animation Studios in California.

Boasting California style cuisine with Asian, European, and South American style accents of cuisine.

Worlds of Marvel is an interactive dining experience with some of your favorite Marvel friends. And the restaurant unique to only the Disney DESTINY is Pride Lands.

Buckle up for a fantastic performance from these Storytellers. The voices and musicians are unbelievable.

While I could go on and on, these are just some of the top highlights for me. I will go into further detail on specifics as the weeks unfold.

One thing I can completely guarantee is that I will be sharing as much about DESTINY as I can because this is one experience you do not want to miss out on!
