Goodbye, Spooky Season… Hello, Holiday Magic!
Oh friends, it’s that bittersweet time again when the last Mickey pumpkin flickers out, the cobwebs come down, and the scent of gingerbread starts to fill the air.
Spooky Season at the Disney Parks is always one of my absolute favorites. From Mickey’s Halloween Party treats to the delightfully eerie glow of Haunted Mansion Holiday, there’s just something so magical about seeing Main Street, U.S.A. bathed in orange twinkle lights. But as the pumpkins roll away, another kind of pixie dust begins to sparkle.
Because ready or not, Disney’s Very Merry magic is coming in hot (with a side of cocoa)!
It’s that incredible time of year when the parks transform overnight. Main Street, U.S.A. gets a blanket of “snow,” Cinderella Castle shimmers in holiday lights, and every turn brings new festive music, decorations, and treats.
Here’s what I’m most excited for this year:
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Cookies, cocoa, exclusive character meet-and-greets, and a parade so heartwarming it’ll have you humming “Once Upon a Christmastime” for weeks.
EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays
My personal favorite!
This festival celebrates traditions from around the world with delicious food booths, storytelling, and the Candlelight Processional, one of the most breathtaking holiday experiences at Walt Disney World.
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail
Stroll through a winter wonderland of themed trees that celebrate Disney stories old and new.
Each one is so detailed and full of character, and every corner sparkles with that Disney magic.
Resort Hopping for Gingerbread Displays
This is a must-do for every Disney holiday trip!
While the famous life-size gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian won’t be returning this year due to ongoing renovations, there are still so many sweet creations to explore. From the enchanting gingerbread carousel at Disney’s Beach Club to the intricate display at the Contemporary Resort, the artistry (and heavenly smell) make resort hopping a holiday adventure all its own.
Holiday Fireworks & Shows
From the shimmering “Frozen Holiday Surprise” at Cinderella Castle to festive overlays on classic attractions, Disney really goes all out this time of year.
So as we wave goodbye to the ghosts and ghouls and pack away our Minnie witch ears, it’s time to pull out the peppermint, the plaid spirit jerseys, and the jingle bells.
Disney truly shines during the holidays it’s cozy, joyful, and filled with moments that make you stop, smile, and feel the magic of the season.
