Theme parks are huge on the list of vacation destinations for all types of travel parties. And in my opinion, there is a theme park for every taste. From magic to thrill, theming to the imagination there is no shortage of parks for everyone, especially in the Orlando area. Universal Orlando Resort is one of my absolute favorite theme parks to frequent and I absolutely love its uniqueness in so many ways. So many folks view Universal as a day trip or add on, but spending a little more time here may just be the vacation you really need!
First off, Universal Orlando Resort has three main parks. These include Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay! This alone gives you so many choices to start with! Universal Studios focuses on movies, television, and entertainment themes all throughout the park. Islands of Adventure transports guests into different thrilling lands of exploration and of course, adventure. And, Volcano Bay gives you a stunning tropical escape with both intense thrills and the ultimate relaxation! These parks have everything from the whimsy of Dr. Seuss to the villainously magical alleys of Dragon Alley, save the galaxy with SuperHeroes, or catch yourself in the middle of a dinosaur paddock, there’s no wrong answer!
One of the things that I love about Universal Orlando Resort is the flexibility of time spent there, especially when utilizing their express pass feature! The express pass at Universal allows you to skip the lines on most attractions in both parks. You can add this feature to your ticket OR you can get this feature FREE when you stay at any of Universal’s premier resorts on site! This feature is the one way ticket to maximizing your time in both Studios and Islands. So I bet you’re thinking what about Volcano Bay…..never fear! Universal thought of that too! Just grab your Tapu Tapu wrist band, scan your attraction at Volcano Bay and your Tapu Tapu will tell you when to return so you can enjoy other parts of the park in the meantime! This also means no scheduling rides, or waiting for a set timeframe to return to ride your favorite attraction! So, if you are looking for spontaneity and flexibility in your day, these are the parks for you!
When folks ask me about the ease of getting around Universal Orlando Resort, I think of two words……cozy convenience! Y’all know I love a fun description! Cozy…you’ll find that you can get to and from all the parks from most resorts on site on foot! That’s what I call a cozy little property! With all these parks so close AND let’s not forget Universal CityWalk just a few steps away, convenience is the name of the game! I really love how transportation here takes so little time to get where you want to be! And for someone who loves to eat, being able to grab an amazing dinner at CityWalk and then head back into the parks for some nighttime entertainment is priceless! So many things in a one stop shop scream cozy convenience to me!
While I could go on and on about the laid back ease of visiting Universal Orlando Resort, my best suggestion is let’s plan a trip and you can find out how EPIC the amount of relaxation and fun you can combine into a visit here for yourself! This theme park definitely has great choices for the folks young and old, chill and hype, adventure seeker, and laid back folks. Their ability to mix this all into one place is the perfect recipe for a vacation to remember!
