Running the Disneyland 10K: A Galactic Adventure with Ahsoka Tano!
If there’s one thing better than a Disney trip, it’s a Disney trip with a runDisney race—and this year’s Disneyland 10K was extra special. Themed around Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano, it was the perfect blend of Disney magic and galactic adventure! From the pre-race excitement to running through the parks at sunrise, every moment was unforgettable.
Pre-Race Fun: The Expo & All Things Ahsoka
The weekend kicked off at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, where the energy was absolutely electric.
Themed race merch? Check.
Pre-race
photo ops? Check.
Runners geeking out over Star Wars? Check, check,
check!
The expo was at our hotel which made it super convenient. And
they use virtual queues for entry which makes it very easy to access.
Race Day: Running Through Disneyland Before the Parks Open
The course wound through both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, with Main Street, U.S.A. looking extra dreamy in the
pre-dawn glow.
Cast members cheered us on, characters popped up along
the route, and the energy was pure Disney magic.
One of my favorite
things was rounding the corner to see Indiana Jones bidding us good
morning and good luck!

Seeing Ahsoka herself cheering us on in the leg of the race thru Galaxy's Edge was a super huge highlight as well as knowing we were running alongside Ashley Eikstein, the voice of Ahsoka, herself! Double fan girling over here!
Crossing the Finish Line & Post-Race Celebrations
After 6.2 miles of pure Disney-fueled adrenaline, crossing that finish
line felt incredible.
While I am not a runner, I do love doing these
races with my Disney Bestie, Jen. It's kinda one of our things.
And
the medal? Perfection. The Ahsoka design was everything I hoped for! I
can't wait to frame it to remember this awesome day!
Celebratory meal at Craftsman Grill
Of course, no Disney race is complete without a celebratory meal!
We
headed to the Craftsman Grill at Disney's Grand Californian to
celebrate with pizza and nachos!
What a perfect way to end the
morning's adventure!
