Well, time is winding down and I promised an update on Bella’s Disney Fairytale Wedding. We’ve worked on a few things here and there that I thought you may find fun, exciting, and even a bit curious.
One major thing; we had was the Sip And See from the Bride and Groom to be.
This was our version of a shower and sort of reception we could celebrate with those who could not travel to the destination wedding. And it was a way for us to showcase the local businesses we love with both in and out of town guests since we won’t be local for the wedding. We thought this was a great way to have everyone near and far involved in celebrating Bella and Brock even though the wedding itself is just family.
The Venue.
Hale Street Center was our fantastic venue. All the exposed brick and detailed architecture, totally complimented the Tower of Terror vibes of the wedding.
Charcuterie – Grazing Table.
For charcuterie, we had Boujee Boards by Roz. She did an enormous gourmet grazing table that was not only stunning but so power packed with flavor combos.
Small bites were the next order of business
Enter our favorite restaurant in Charleston, 1010 Bridge Restaurant and Catering. The kids chose potato soufflé bites, bacon wrapped dates (stuffed with blue cheese), and the tastiest and most adorable chicken and waffle cones! To die for!
And last but certainly not least the dessert room!
Rock City knocked this out of the park! Over 50 dozen original desserts, including a Disney style churro creme brûlée bar, and the most unbelievable Avengers themed groom’s cake, complete with a sculpture of our dog Eli, dressed to celebrate!
I cannot tell you how pleased we were with all these choices from start to finish. I’ll never be able to say enough about the fantastic local businesses we have right here at home.
Another nod to the classic Hollywood vibe, Bella chose to decorate the venue in a seriously nostalgic and unique way. Sitting throughout the venue were pictures of family members at their weddings, and the highlight, several of the ladies in my family allowed her to display their gowns from many different generations. This was the biggest hit of the day. The dresses included mine, both my mother’s and my aunt’s, and my sister’s and sister in law’s. I had not seen this done before and thought that this was an amazing way to honor the family members.
Disney Fairytale Wedding.
The day was definitely great but once it was done, it was on to some final touches for the wedding. Bella and Brock have met with their floral designer and made their choices as well as their designated Disney Fairytale Wedding specialist, Kami, to finalize planning details like music, lighting, DJ selection, transportation, and a few other details.
The Wedding Reception.
Instead of a full meal for the reception, we opted for what Disney calls a celebration. This is basically a couple hour party with cake and small appetizers!!! You can choose from a few different options named for the three fairies. Flora is 3 appetizers, Fauna is four, and Merriweather is 5! While I won’t reveal all of the choices until after the wedding, you best believe we will celebrate into the night with plenty of cheeseburger eggrolls!
The Wedding Photography.
Another exciting piece is the photography. After all, what’s a wedding without pictures to remember the day? We were able to secure one of our dearest Disney friends, Magical Pix by Candi Clark, and her amazing team to document the day! This is particularly exciting because she has taken family pictures for us at Disney for many years and May as well be part of the family! I know that with her there, she will capture a very unique perspective on the event that we will cherish forever!
While I know this is not a ton of details, I just wanted to bring you guys up to speed and to have you share in our excitement! The wedding will be here before we know it, and I will share all the beautiful yet creepy and fun details then….and maybe even a couple of surprises!
