This by far is one of my “cheesiest” blogs to date…..literally!

For some months, I have been obsessed with trying all the macaroni and cheese around the Walt Disney World Resort and ranking them! It’s taken me a few months, but I have finally compiled my list of the Tour De Mac n Cheese, Disney Style just for you guys!

It’s been a super hard sacrifice…….but I was willing to put in the work to get you guys the list of the top spots to snag the dreamiest Mac n Cheese in the “World”!

I have picked 5 amazing dishes from all over Disney for this life-changing list and one honorable mention! So let’s dive in and you’ll find out the winners in this months-long battle!

Honorable mention to this upcoming list is amazing smoked cheddar Mac and cheese from CityWorks in Disney Springs! It is an entree-sized portion topped with grilled chicken, back, smoked cheddar cheese sauce over cavatappi pasta! Huge, yummy, and comforting, this one deserves a shout-out before we get into the Tour De Mac and Cheese!

5th

In my 5th place ranking, we head to one of my absolute favorite places for a comfort meal, Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar at Disney Springs. Momma’s Mac and Cheese is the perfect cheesy accompaniment to any entree on Chef Art’s menu! Cheddar, American, and Parmesan cheese combine together for the perfect Southern flair in individually baked cast iron ramekins, covered with extra melted cheese on top that literally spilled over onto the plate…..now THAT is comfort food!

4th

Next, we venture into the wilds of Animal Kingdom to the Nomad Lounge…..the perfect place for weary travelers to rest, eat, and enjoy some travel-inspired cocktails. It’s probably not the place you would think to snag an amazing Mac and Cheese…….but this stop is not one to miss out on! I am told that this particular dish is a special and may not always be available, so it’s worth checking out as soon as possible! Black Diamond cheddar, Sherry, and Orecchiette pasta and HUGE and I mean HUGE chunks of LOBSTER make this dish over the top, big enough for a meal AND worthy of its $22 price tag. This dish is also served in its own individual ramekin, lightly covered with cheese and breadcrumbs then baked! With the lobster, I loved this at brunch time. It was filling, but I had room to try other small plates as well.

3rd

Number 3 on my list takes us to the top of the Contemporary Resort to California Grill for smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese!!! Served as a side to their Cowboy Ribeye steak, but in my opinion, it is worth ordering a double portion of this delectable side, because frankly, it’s not for sharing! Crumb topping and melted cheese cover the top of this cheesy, smokey goodness and also pairs super well with the Brussel sprouts at Cali! And let’s be honest, the views, the drinks, and the Mac and cheese are an absolutely perfect way to end the night at Disney!

2nd

Up next is the macaroni and cheese dish that began my total obsession……..the crab macaroni and cheese at the Enchanted Rose Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Absolutely perfect pieces of lump crap meat, Gnocchetti Sardi, Mornay Sauce, and Citrus breadcrumbs make this dish the things that dreams are made of! Baked in a mini dutch oven, this portion is perfect for NOT sharing. I mean, if you are a bit crazy you may share a bite, but I certainly don’t advise it. The combination of seafood, cheese, sauce, and texture of the crispy topping is literally one of my favorite tastes of all time! Not only is the lounge a hidden gem, but the menu here is by far one of the best lounge menus on the property!

After much deliberation, I am crowning the Lobster and Crab Mac and Cheese from Kona Cafe King of the heap! To surpass Enchanted Rose they really had to bring it and they did not disappoint! Oh my goodness this dish is a masterpiece of seafood, extra, extra creamy cheese, perfectly cooked pasta, and the perfect amount of heat! This side was so large that I was only able to eat half at dinner and then happily took the rest back and ate it for lunch the next day! I think the thing that put Kona’s offering over the top for me was the combo of both lobster and crab and that slight heat in the cheese. It really is more than enough for a meal, but I am going to keep it all to myself!

So now that you have taken this Tour De Mac with me, I hope it helps you make awesome choices in your dining and leads you to the most awesome Mac and cheese dishes throughout the Walt Disney World Resort! Heck, this took my a few months to complete, but with the right planning, you could make it thru this Tour in a trip or two! It’s been super fun and super yummy compiling this list for you guys and I hope you enjoy and get to try some or all of these for yourself. After all, calories don’t count at Disney!!
