It has been a whirlwind of activity and adjustment in our house for the last couple of months! Travel, holidays, surgery for @theprincessndtheblog, Garrett leaving for bootcamp, more travel and just all around busy! It’s been super hard to get time to sit down and write my thoughts in a blog for sure.
Now that most things are starting to get calm, we are about to embark on some great trips and adventures this year!
I am so excited to share my latest adventure with you now however, or at least some of it!
While today I’ll just brush over my week with you, in the coming weeks, I’m excited to share some more detailed blogs on all of the experiences individually so I can really delve into all the amazing things I’ve done throughout my trip this go round.
Universal Orlando Resort
This week I had the pleasure of visiting both Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World. Lots of learning, training, classroom time, site inspections, and new experiences were had all around. Training with my Pixie family is always a special treat and something I look forward to throughout the year.
I was able to not only stay at Portofino Bay at Universal Orlando Resort, but also able to tour many of their properties and I am so excited about the knowledge I gained about the properties and the parks.
I absolutely love that most of these properties are a short walk or water taxi ride away from all the attractions at City Walk, Volcano Bay, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure!
Much like Disney, Universal has different tiers of resorts to accommodate all tastes and budgets. From themes of the beautiful South Pacific to the edgy feel of the Hard Rock, each property is uniquely themed and a feast for the eyes!
Volcano Bay
Universal Orlando Resort and it’s amazing parks are nothing to overlook when visiting the Orlando area! I was able to see Volcano Bay and tour it in detail……get this…….it was completely empty of guests! That is a super rare occasion! It was amazing to be able to walk thru this visually stunning park and really learn and enjoy its detail!
City Walk
City Walk is a culinary and entertainment explosion! Eateries, live music, shopping, and just plain FUN is around every corner! It’s the perfect location to grab your friends and have a great bite to eat and some drinks, shop, or just hang out. We had our dinner at Cowfish and boy was it AMAZING! They are famous for their “Burgushi”……burger/sushi! Go figure! It was absolutely delicious!
The sights and sounds of City Walk are so lively and exciting! It doesn’t require a park ticket to shop or dine there so it’s a great hangout for those non park days when you are visiting Universal Orlando Resort.
Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure
What can I even say about Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure? I mean……the first word that comes to mind is THRILLING! This particular trip I spent most of my time going between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!
Each time I get the privilege to visit here I discover new and more magical things! From the whimsical snow capped rooftops of Hogsmeade Village, to the stunning peaks of Hogwarts castle and the dark and skulky corridors of Diagon Alley, these unparalleled, immersive lands are so breathtaking. And of course, during my visit I HAD to stop by and say hello to my friend Hagrid and his Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! Equally as thrilling each time I take this magical ride!
Universal Orlando Resort was amazing!
Overall, my week at a Universal Orlando Resort was amazing! I love learning more and more here, spending time here and soaking up all the thrills! I cannot tell you how excited I am for you to hear more about Universal in the coming weeks! They have some amazing things in store for the future as well! New resorts, a new park, new rides, and so much more is waiting at Universal Orlando Resort!!
