As July comes to a close, I wanted to take just one last opportunity
to celebrate Christmas in July. It’s a thing, right? Of course, it is!
As most of you know, I am now partnering with The Greenbrier and we
used this month to highlight an upcoming set of events for the coming
holidays! I could not finish out the month without telling you more
details about what we have in store when the actual Christmas holidays
do come around this year!

There are so many amazing holiday activities that will be
complimentary to my guests during the special Weekends with Santa
(December 2-4, 9-11, and 16-18). The Greenbrier’s own SpringHouse
Entertainers will fill the historic hotel with the sounds of the
season with caroling throughout each weekend. Also, both Friday and
Saturday evenings the Greenbrier Chapel will host a beautiful cantata
service. Friday evening of these special weekends you’ll want to make
sure everyone has packed their favorite Christmas PJs because along
with milk and cookies, Santa will have story time before bedtime!
But the fun doesn’t end there, wake up the next morning and have a
complimentary breakfast with the Jolly Old Elf himself in the
Greenbrier’s stunning Main Dining Room. And later that night, bundle
up, you’ll be invited to the tree lighting ceremony complete with hot
cocoa and carols! And have a blast with your whole group by joining us
for family bingo!

And If this is not enough holiday fun for your group, we have you
covered. There are a few extra activities that can be added to your
stay for an additional fee. What’s Christmas time without decorations
and gingerbread? Never fear, Gingerbread House and Wreath-making
workshops will be offered for all ages! And of course, these will make
amazing souvenirs to remember your holiday! ($55pp and $85pp
respectively). And if your littles love arts and crafts, they will be
delighted with the Art Alive Children’s Painting and Craft Workshop
($65 per, age 6-12). Moms and dads, couples, or gal pals we haven’t
forgotten about you! You’ll be happy to find wine-tasting
opportunities abound. And if bourbon is more up your alley, Bourbon
at the Bar sessions will be offered at various times ($55pp for those
21 and over). So there is literally no shortage of fun for everyone.

But, there is one activity that I am so very excited about that
will have its own feature in the blog later this year and that is the
highly anticipated, Dinner in Whoville ($95 per adult, $55 per, ages
4-12). Join the Grinch and the inhabitants of Whole for a spectacular
evening of Who-cuisine and Who-entertaining! I have no doubt that this
will prove to be the highlight of the entire weekend!
Later in the season, I will be interviewing the head Chef at The
Greenbrier as well as their head Pastry Chef so share a look into what
they have planned for this storybook kind of evening!

And I have been in close contact with the staff at the Greenbrier and
Santa himself and they have extended a few amazing surprises for my
families attending these special weekends. I think it’s because I
really have tried to be good this year!

Included in your stay will be your breakfast in the Main Dining Room
for your family, a one-tier upgrade of your resort room, and a $100
resort credit per room, per night that can be used toward activities
or even your Dinner in Whoville (cannot be used toward your room rate
or the casino club). All in all, we have pulled out all the stops from
White Sulphur Springs to the North Pole to bring you a magical holiday
experience in the Mountain state! I cannot wait to share more in the
coming months about these amazing Weekends with Santa!
