An essential piece of relaxing on a Disney vacation is to find the perfect spots to unwind with friends, food, and great drinks! So, I have compiled my list of favorite lounges around Disney property that are the epitome of fun and relaxation! Whether it be a date day, a girls’ trip, couples adventure, or if Grandma and Grandpa are along for the trip and want to give the parents some downtime, these lounges are not to be overlooked! I’ll be listing these spots in no particular order because basically, they are all my favorites!
Nomad Lounge
First, tucked away in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park on the path leading to Pandora the World of Avatar, you’ll see Nomad Lounge. The most Joe Rhode hangout of all time, this lounge is rich with travel notes, photos, memories, and a feeling of coming in to be refreshed after a long day of adventure. Inspirations for travel and exploration continue that Rhode vibe that I adore so much. The small plates at this lounge are anything but. In addition to their regular offerings, Nomad has a list of special offerings that are not always available. These special signatures are nothing short of amazing! As most of you know, Nomad’s lobster Mac n cheese made my list of best gourmet Mac n cheese on property! Their cocktails are all adventurous twists on favorites and a great compliment to any small plate! And of course, don’t forget to complete your lounge experience here with fresh-pressed hot coffee and house-made churros with various dipping sauces! This is most definitely a spot I don’t leave in a hurry! And, what’s even better, reservations are not required! You can go and request a time to return as well if they are full!
Tutto Gusto
Hidden within the Italy pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase is Tutto Gusto wine cellar, affectionately referred to by my travel crew as, “the Cave”. Like stepping back into the extensive wine cellar of a magnificent Italian home, this is a cool and relaxing spot to get your hands on some amazing wines, charcuterie, appetizers, and if you so desire, a dish of pasta from Tutto Italia next door! Along with all these offerings, you can also pair your amazing glass of wine with some amazing tiramisu or cheesecake! What’s more relaxing than wine AND dessert? Absolutely nothing!
Oga’s Cantina
If you are looking for a place to plan your next smuggling mission, Oga’s Cantina tucked into the amazingness that is Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is just the place to meet. Spirits and nonalcoholic cocktails with ingredients from across the galaxy tempt your taste buds while you listen to the sounds of someone quite familiar…..DJ R-3X. From the Bespin Fizz to the Jedi Mind Trick, these out of this world concoctions do not disappoint! There are also a few small plates and snacks on this intergalactic menu, but keep in mind, you will need a reservation to get in! And those can be made 60 days prior to your mission!
Enchanted Rose
Step back into the pages of a tale as old as time at the Enchanted Rose lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. You guys know that this lounge got its own feature blog and we still cannot get enough of it! Whether relaxing in the library or having a drink out on the covered porch, this is the absolute perfect place to relax after a magical day! My favorites here are, of course, their AH-MAZING macaroni and cheese and the espresso martini! Dahlia Lounge
Hop an elevator to the beautiful Gran Destino Tower’s rooftop at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort to the stunning, Spanish-inspired, Dahlia Lounge! Open windows and balconies overlook nearly the entire Walt Disney World resort making it the perfect place to enjoy some drinks and snacks while taking in the view! Tapas at this lounge is amazing! Charcuterie, Bocadillo, and many other offerings pair perfectly with cocktails rich with the flavors of Spain! We’ve also discovered this is the perfect late-night spot to enjoy some hot chamomile tea with friends while chatting and unwinding! Recapping the day at the top of this beautiful tower is one of my favorite magical spots on property!
While these lounges are some of my favorites, there are several more around the property that make for great places to relax and enjoy friends and loved ones. Escaping the hustle and bustle of park activities in exchange for a little time to unwind, is a great way to recharge, plot your next park adventure, or recap your day with laughs and fun! Who says you can’t relax on a Disney vacation??? I totally disagree!
