When visiting Universal Orlando Resort last week, I made it a point to try as many yummy snacks and drinks as possible! There were so many holiday offerings that it was difficult to choose! And I must admit, I was not disappointed with any of my choices! So today, I’m going to share with you the highlights of my epic snack adventure!
As far as holiday fare, the Gingerbread whoopie pie was without a doubt a jolly treat! Fluffy frosting in between light and airy gingerbread cake is an amazing combination of holiday flavors…..especially paired with a hot chocolate bomb or spiked eggnog from the Tribute Store! The whoopie pie is big enough for sharing as well as the hot chocolate and eggnog! These will all definitely get you in the holiday spirit!
What is a trip to Universal CityWalk without a stop at VooDoo Doughnut?!?! The holiday season is no exception. One top of their already fantastic menu of all sorts of mystical combinations, they added several holiday themed sweets that were original and amazing!
You can select gingerbread cheesecake filled ornaments or construct your own snowman with different flavor combinations for each snowball!
You can really never go wrong with VooDoo, especially with these seasonal choices! My favorite was the gingerbread cheesecake filled ornament!
The next stop on my epic snack adventure was Central Park Crepes! I know you probably have visions of Nutella and fruit dancing in your head, but this is not why I made a beeline to this amazing snack cart.
My lips were turned up for a crepe of the savory kind…..a full on Thanksgiving dinner themed crepe! This crepe is full of roasted turkey, savoy stuffing, tangy cranberries and lots of GRAVY! I know you may be thinking that this is not the type of crepe you may be looking for but, trust me, this was literally Thanksgiving day in a crepe! The crepes are made fresh to order and are stuffed to the gills with all these amazing components to make a walking taco of Thanksgiving dinner! This I must say was my favorite unexpected snack of my trip! I hope they bring these back every year! Pro tip…the perfect way to finish off your Thanksgiving crepe is to head over to Diagon Alley and grab a Pumpkin Pasty for dessert! BINGO! Happy Thanksgiving!
Last but certainly never least, is my all time favorite cold season snack at Universal Orlando Resort…….HOT Butterbeer! What can I even say to describe this steamy, yummy, butterscotch amazingness!!! If you love the other versions of Butterbeer, the HOT variety is the top of the heap! There is nothing better than strolling around a fully holiday decorated Wizarding World of Harry Potter with a hot, cozy mug of this seasonal offering. There’s no better beverage to get your “mustache on” than with the official drink of all witches and wizards!
While I could most certainly go on and on about the amazing snacks and drinks I had at Universal Orlando Resort, I will leave you with these few favorites of mine and encourage you to think about your own EPIC snack adventure! I have to admit, that when I think of typical theme park food, Universal’s offerings are anything but that! I cannot wait to get back and visit again to explore many more adventures both with food and thrills at Universal! It is easily one of my favorite places…..in the Universe!
