Disney Planning Timelines 101: Key Dates for Dining Reservations, Passes, and More

Planning a Disney trip can be overwhelming, but knowing the key dates and timelines can make the process smoother and more enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of the most important planning timelines for dining reservations, passes, and more, along with Carie's essential planning checklist.

Dining Reservations

Current Timeline: 60 Days in Advance - Previously, you could book dining reservations up to 180 days in advance. However, Disney has updated this to 60 days prior to your trip. This means that if you’re hoping to secure popular reservations like Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest, it’s crucial to mark your calendar for exactly 60 days before your check-in date. But of course, When planning with your favorite advisor, I will send you a list of choices beforehand and devise a plan with you and schedule those on day 60 while you sleep in!

Multi-Pass and Single Pass Reservations

7 Days Ahead - For guests staying at Disney resorts, you can now schedule your multi-pass (formerly Genie+) and single-pass (formerly Lightning Lane) reservations up to 7 days in advance. This is a significant change from the old FastPass system, which allowed bookings 30 days prior. This new timeline requires you to be more agile with your planning. But again, this is a service that your fave travel advisor is on the job for you to take care of!
