If you regularly follow along with me on my adventures, you know that I went to Mexico last week on a learning expedition! Much out of my typical wheelhouse of travel, Mexico and all it has to offer came as a pleasant surprise in many aspects. And, of course, I am busting to share with you! So, today, I’m going to give you an overview of our trip and in the coming weeks, I plan to highlight many of the resorts that we experienced first hand. And when I tell you this was knowledge overload….I mean it! Most folks may think that these types of trips for me are leisure, but I can assure you, touring, absorbing information, gathering and preparing content, and cultivating the knowledge I get is no easy task! On this particular trip, we stayed in two different resorts and toured a total of 16 properties throughout the Cancun area.

Mexico itself is an easy All-Inclusive destination to travel into overall. I found the entry and exit requirements pretty smooth going. At this time, there is no required Covid testing to enter Mexico, however,  you are required to provide a negative test result to return to the United States, and most of the All-Inclusive resorts that we experienced, provide these to their guests in the required 72-hour timeframe prior to flying back into the U.S. Flights throughout the east coast are relatively quick and getting secure transportation round trip to the airport is easily set up and easy to find once you arrive. Overall, flying into Mexico by myself, I was completely comfortable navigating the flights and airport. And I know some may be concerned about the safety of travel as well, and I can say, having transportation to and from the airport provided by your chosen resort and the resorts themselves felt very safe and inviting, even arriving alone.

One of the things that stuck out to me about Mexico and the properties we experienced, was that there are so many options for any type of vacation you can imagine when it comes to all-inclusive options. Family trips, honeymoons, adventure travel, rich cultural experience-based travel, multigenerational trips, you name it, there is a place to fit it and in Mexico, your dollar goes such a long way! You can pack those travel dollars with experiences and then some! And when you think All Inclusive, you think food, drinks, and lodging…..BUT, some of these destinations even have water parks on site included and even some entertainment parks for every facet of an adventurer! Spas, water sports, and so much more can also be part of your AI trip! There is literally something for everyone!  Mexico is so lush and tropical and is very rich in culture. So much amazing food, music, art, and amazing people. The authentic Mexican flare was seen throughout all these properties in so many varied ways and made for a beautiful trip! Oh, and did I mention the food?!?!? From the specialty dining to the authentic cuisine, this was quite a tasty trip as well!  I was very excited and eager to learn more about this destination and I know many of you will also love visiting there too! Mexico is not a place to brush aside when thinking of a vacation! I cannot wait to share feature blogs soon for some of my favorite resorts from my stay. This beautiful destination is ready and waiting to help you escape reality and have amazing experiences!
