One of my favorite times to visit WALT Disney World is during the holidays. It seems as though there is an extra layer of magic everywhere and so much to see and do!
My family visits each year during the holidays and there are so many amazing activities that we have made it tradition during our stay.
Disney is the perfect place to keep or start traditions with your family as well! Here are just a few of the things we love to enjoy as a family that you may want to add as a part of your next holiday trip!
Resort hopping
Resort hopping has become something that Bella and I absolutely love to do at Christmas! Some of the Deluxe resorts do special gingerbread sculptures and amazing decorations can be found at every resort on property as well!
We love dashing around property from resort to resort, enjoying the artistic creations of the holiday culinary teams and sampling the Christmas themed treats at each destination.
Each year the culinary team seems to create more and more amazingly beautiful and wonderfully smelling creations than the year before. This is the perfect activity for a rest day when not visiting the parks!
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is no doubt one of my very favorite festivals to attend with my family! Much like the other seasonal festivals at Epcot, the Festival of the Holidays has amazing samplings from many countries’ traditional holiday fare as well as lots of singing, dancing, and entertainment from the represented countries. It’s much like the traditional Christmas market feel. Lights, sounds, smells, and feels from all around the world make this festival a holiday highlight for us each year!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
No doubt Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a huge celebration for us every year! Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not a big “Christmas person”, but this party and all it’s SNOAP changes this Grinch heart year after year. There is literally nothing more magical than walking down Main Street USA in the softly falling snoap!
Of course this party deserves a blog all its own, but I will say that it is worth attending during your holiday visit for sure! Complimentary treats, special shows and parades, specialty magic shots, snoap and much more, this party is one of my very favorite occasions during the holiday season.
Magical Pix by Candi Clark
Another one of my Disney traditions during the holidays is getting family photos taken by our favorite local photographer, Magical Pix by Candi Clark. We started this new tradition a few years back and I am so very glad we did! You guys know that I’m a huge believer in making memories, not collecting things, and commemorating our holiday visit each year with a family portrait means so very much to me!
