If you dream of strolls down Paris streets or dining at a Parisian cafe, your dreams will come true in the France Pavilion at Epcot!
We have long anticipated the opening of the expansion of this pavilion and now that I have had a chance to enjoy it several times, it is one of my favorite spots in the World Showcase. And, sitting in the middle of this charming area, is one of my new favorite quick-service locations….La Créperie de Paris!
In the beginning, I thought this was going to be a typical quick crepe stand, but boy was I wrong!
First of all, you guys know that I love my Disney food and I only repeat the best. So, that being said, I made my way to this quaint location twice during my last visit because it was absolutely off the charts! Not just with flavors and offerings, but also in atmosphere and value! I just can’t get enough of it!
There are two different ways to enjoy this quick service.
You can choose to put your name on the list and return to be seated inside the restaurant or you can choose to grab and go by placing your order at the outside windows. Although I didn’t do the window option, I noticed that the line moved very quickly and efficiently and there are lots of outside tables to sit at and enjoy your meal. Both times we dined here, we chose to put our name on the list and eat inside at a later time. Both times we were called back quickly and this was the opening weekend! Very impressive!
So let’s get to the important part…..deets on the meals!
My first experience there, I was so excited to discover they served one of my favorites, potato leek soup! I ordered this and then shared a galette (savory crepe) with a friend. And I assure you, these crepes are sharable size, although you may want to keep it all to yourself!
I chose the Savoyarde, which is a buckwheat crepe (gluten-free) filled with Raclette Cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon and then topped with Imported Bayonne ham. Beyond amazing!
On my second visit there, Bella and I chose to share the Pre Fixe meal which is an amazing value! This meal includes 1 soup or salad, 1 Gallette, and 1 sweet Crepe with topping and a specialty drink. I had to repeat the soup and Savoyarde, and Bella had our server choose her sweet crepe combination which was the Melba (Peach, red berries sauce, and almonds) topped with raspberry sorbet. This was out of this world! And for the specialty drink, an Orangina is typically served in France.
This entire meal was $33 and more food than we could finish. Amazing value and wonderful food. I was also able to try the Poulet galette which was filled with chicken, bechamel cheese, and mushrooms. This is one I will have to revisit again as well!
One of the other highlights of the meal was the French Martini! With Vodka and Chambord, along with fruit and a delicate foam on top, this is an amazingly light and refreshing cocktail that pairs perfectly with the meal! I highly recommend this newest quick service for so many reasons. Quality, variety, and authenticity reigns here at La Crêperie! I am anxious to return and try other selections from this wonderful menu! After all, I believe that any choice here is a meal even Anton Ego would rave about!
