It’s time you know about Narcoossee!
There are plenty of establishments that may come to mind at Disney for a special occasion meal, but I have one that you may not be aware of and I think it’s time you know about Narcoossee!
Lots of folks ask about great seafood or steaks for dining options at WDW and I am happy to report, you’ll fid both in abundance here! This menu is loaded with signature American coastal cuisine from drinks, to appetizers, all the way to the last bite of the delicious dessert.
Disney’s official website describes the fare as follows: “Delight in elegant coastal offerings from land and sea at this waterfront hideaway. Narcoossee’s serves a spectacular, innovative selection of fresh seafood from both local waters and around the globe.
So you might be thinking, I have never even heard of this place. Tucked neatly on the lagoon side of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa with a fireworks/castle view that rivals those of O’hana!
For land-based fare, savor options like Prime New York Strip and the Dry-Aged Pork Ribeye. Or, enjoy the best of both worlds with a surf-and-turf dish that features Filet Mignon and a Butter-Poached Lobster Tail.
And for a perfect ending to any feast, treat yourself to our pastry chef’s sumptuous signature dessert—Almond-Crusted Cheesecake with Lambert Cherry Sauce”
While I had dined at Narcoossee prior to the pandemic, since that dreaded time, it had remained closed for refurbishment. Once I got word that it was opening again, I had to get a look and a taste! Beautiful new art, beautiful sea pallet colors, and those beautiful and perfect windows! The new look is a sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. I’d like to mention, this is a signature dining experience so if you visit here, meals will be in the range of $35 to $59.99 per adult. If you visit once the dining plan returns, you would need to use 2 table service credits to enjoy this experience.
What I love about the atmosphere here is the upscale yet laid back feel. The cast members are absolutely top notch in service and very knowledgeable of the entire menu. And when I mention laid back, I mean in terms that I feel they do not rush guests through the experience of the meal. And you will definitely need advance reservations to dine here. Especially if you want to be here to have dinner while viewing fireworks!
For my meal, I started with lobster bisque, followed by the New York strip and a side of Brussels sprouts! I also tried the Salmon, the Blueberry and Barrel Aged Feta Salad, both of which I loved as well.
My steak was perfectly cooked and the lobster bisque was approved by my bestie from Massachusetts, so you know it was delicious!
The restaurant features an immense list of wines that your server can help you perfectly pair with any dish you choose, but I tried the Key Lime Pie Martini. This was a beautiful drink with the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I loved its light taste and the presentation with the limes and meringue was outstanding!
I definitely recommend visiting Narcoossee if you have the chance! It would be the absolute perfect place for a birthday, anniversary, or other special occasion. The value and quality of the meal experience is top notch and has that special dining feel. I cannot say enough good things about the reopening of this fabulous restaurant!
