Food is always one of my favorite blog topics so I have decided to give you my rundown of the best snacks in each WDW park! This seems to be one of the top questions I get asked when finalizing the details of a trip. While there is no shortage of yummy Disney bites all around the resort, there are a few that you just can’t afford to miss while on your visit!

Hollywood Studios

The first stop is Disney’s Hollywood Studios…and you don’t have to venture too far into the park to find the queen of snacks here. Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) hosts this delectable dessert, the carrot cake cookie! Two huge cookie shaped slabs of Carrot cake smooshed together with a huge amount of amazingly rich cream cheese icing. This cookie/cake/hybrid can be shared if you’re nice or gobbled up if you’re not! And although it’s morphed a little over the years, this sweet treat, in my opinion, has just the perfect ratio of cake to icing or cookie to icing as it were. The texture is moist and fresh and the sweet, yet tart cream cheese icing is cut perfectly when paired with a great cup of coffee! Don’t miss this opportunity to sugar up properly for a day at DHS!

Epcot

Making our way over to Epcot, this is my newest favorite of late! Tucked neatly into the beautiful detailed France pavilion, you will find the L’Artisan Des Glaces. Here you will be posed one of the hardest questions of all…..which treat to choose? While each of their creations is a great choice, the reigning champion is a dessert of your own design…. create your own Brioche ice cream sandwich, the Croque Glace! This is one scoop of your choice of ice cream flavor and sauce in homemade brioche pressed warm. Yes, warm. Think Mexican Fried Ice cream…..but French! I was won over instantly by the espresso ice cream, chocolate sauce, and warm, slightly sweet brioche. Literally heavenly, even for someone that is not a sweet fanatic!

Animal Kingdom

Now we trek to the mysterious continents in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to grab a snack that you may not have heard me talk about before. In between the beating drums of Harambe Market and the mystic sounds of Asia, you’ll find a wonderfully hidden snack cart where you will find Mr. Kamal’s Fries. Yes, fries. Anyone who knows me knows I have never turned away from a greasy carbohydrate maiden basket of fries and Mr. Kamal’s is the king of them all. What makes these crispy, hot shoestring potatoes a top Disney snack…….condiments! And LOTS of them. You are not just getting run of the mill French fries here. You can dip these jewels into sauces like Tandoori Honey Mustard, Spicy Honey Ketchup, or the exotic Saffron Aioli! Your tastebuds are on the trek from spicy to sweet, savory to tangy, and back again! So when you are making your way from Africa to Asia…..stop staring at the Tree of Life……you’ll miss the fries!

Magic Kingdom

“Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy…” where the kings of all snacks live. And I am NOT talking about Dole Whip. Although, you gotta have one or one of its variations at one point in your Disney travels. You all know where I am going with this. Sitting in its perfect little corner to fuel you before a jaunt thru Adventureland are my favorite little cheeseburger spring rolls in their fabulous little spring roll cart! I dare say that these will never be topped for me as the king of snacks unless, of course, they figure out a way to make spring rolls out of the seafood Mac and cheese that Kona Cafe USED to have. Yes, Disney, I am “at-ing” you or giving you the best idea yet. Who knows! But without a doubt, it’s a Magic Kingdom rule that you must consume cheeseburger egg rolls while visiting or you’ll have bad luck!

Port Orleans Resort French Quarter

I want to mention another heavy hitter you can only find in one spot, for now, at Disney and that is the beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort French Quarter! From boozy to traditional, it is worth a stopover at this cozy moderate resort to snag some of these sugared up New Orleans specialties. But, I have a feeling there will be more than one place to get your hands on these “real soon” with the re-theming of Splash Mountain….we all know what Miss Tiana is famous for making….and frankly, I’m here for it with a side of a mint julep!

While some are not too surprising, I hope I have put a few new suggestions for munching at Disney on to your planning list! All in all, it’s super hard to find a snack there that is not delicious! So, for sure, you will never be disappointed snacking around Walt Disney World Resort!
