Top 5 Reasons Disney Springs Should Be on Your To-Do List During Your Disney Trip
Disney Springs, the vibrant entertainment complex at Walt Disney World
Resort, offers a unique blend of dining, shopping, and entertainment.
It's a must-visit destination, even if you're not a theme park fan.
And, it may be easy to overlook if you have the Disney parks only in
your sights. But I definitely suggest at least one trip to see what
it's all about. And here are my personal top 5 reasons to include
Disney Springs in your itinerary:
1. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'
Chef Art Smith emphasizes fresh, local ingredients, offering a true
taste of Southern hospitality. This farm to table approach to southern
cuisine draws crowds year round and for good reason. This is one of my
top favorite dining experiences on property. You guy hear me sing the
praises of this eatery all the time and I stand by my thoughts here.
If you are looking for a great dinner, lunch, or especially brunch,
you have found the gold standard at Chef Art's.
2. Gideon's Bakehouse Cookies
Sink your teeth into some of the most decadent, oversized cookies
you've ever tasted, with classic flavors like Chocolate Chip and
Cookies & Cream and more unique flavors like Key Lime Chocolate Chip
or Peanut Butter Crunch. And it's uniqueness does not stop with it's
sweet treats. This creepy little shop is a blend of Vincent Price, Tim
Burton, and old school Willie Wonka! A cult fan favorite without
question! And yes, after all this time, Gideon's always has a wait!
But if you are planning to spend some time at Disney Springs, head to
Gideon's and give your number to one of the hosts and they will text
you when it's your turn to get in line! This one step can make your
trip to Disney Springs end in a super sweet way!
3. Splitsville Luxury Lanes
Splitsville offers a unique combination of luxury bowling and
gourmet dining, making it perfect for a fun, laid-back evening. Enjoy
a retro-chic atmosphere with live music and a lively bar scene.
Besides bowling, you can play billiards or enjoy an arcade area,
making it great for families and groups. Splitsville is also a great
location to watch major sporting events with a super fun crowd.
Bowling ressies are separate from dining so if you want to do both,
you will need both. But, you are welcome to do just one or the other
as well! Splitsville is a do not miss for a great evening in Springs
or even a rainy day!
4. Shopping Galore
Discover a wide range of shops offering everything from Disney-themed
merchandise to high-end fashion and unique souvenirs. Explore flagship
stores like World of Disney, the largest Disney merchandise store in
the world, and other well-known brands like Zara, Anthropologie, and
more. If you are a shopaholic at heart, you have walked into your
heaven! You'll find no shortage of souvenirs, custom merchandise, art,
handcrafted candies, sunglasses, you name it, you can buy it at the
various merchant locations in Disney Springs.
5. Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar
If unwinding from your adventurous day is on your mind, I have the
perfect stop for you! Step into an Indiana Jones-inspired world at
this bar named after Indy's pilot friend, Jock Lindsey. Enjoy themed
cocktails like the "Cool-Headed Monkey" and creative appetizers in a
setting filled with movie memorabilia. Relax with a drink on the
outdoor deck overlooking Lake Buena Vista, offering a serene spot to
unwind. Another perk of hanging at Jock's is that you are in perfect
ear and eye shot of one of the entertainment stages in Springs. So add
live music and you have the perfect storm!
Disney Springs is a dynamic destination that offers something for
everyone. Whether you're a foodie, a shopper, or just looking for a
fun time, Disney Springs is a perfect addition to your Disney vacation
and should not be skipped if you have the time! And if you don't you
should definitely make the time! And don't forget, Springs being
Disney, is always decked out for the seasons and boasts seasonal
treats, offerings, and merchandise that you just won't find anywhere
else!
