A new year is here and this is usually the time that we start thinking of fresh starts, goals, and future plans. In my world, this usually means travel and I know that is the same for many of you! I have tried throughout the course of the pandemic to focus on the positive and 2022 is just a little different. I am convinced I see the light at the end of the tunnel! So many folks are starting to travel and travel safely. Some are just not ready yet and that is ok too! In both cases, it’s still a great time to look into the future and #seesomethingnewin22!
There are so many destinations that I have enjoyed learning about in 2021! Traveling domestically and internationally this past year, getting to understand the safety protocols and ever changing requirements of safe travel have been challenging, but definitely something I am endeavoring to stay on the pulse of! As we continue to travel out of this pandemic I can see things only getting better and better for travel!
That being said, I wanted to toss out some ideas for some 2022 travel that might just get you thinking about what you should see in 2022!
Disney Destinations
I’d be remiss if I didn’t start with my favorite, Disney! And I’m talking about Disney in any capacity. With their overload of magic and “Be Our Guest” level of service, any Disney destination is a home run! Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, Vero Beach, Disney’s Hilton Head resort…..maybe you didn’t know you had these many options and more with the main Mouse! Whether you crave the waves of a Hawaiian roller coaster ride or a stroll down Main Street USA, there is no shortage of adventure, nostalgia, and family memories to be made with a Disney vacation!
Universal Orlando Resort
If you are searching for something on the lines of EPIC thrills, there is only one place to look……Universal Orlando Resort! Last year we enjoyed everything from Mardi Gras to the holidays at Hogwarts! And, it always seems that there is always something new around every corner here. Have some older “littles” that are looking to test their bravery on some serious coasters? This is the perfect destination! Want to push your scream boundaries? Try your hand at withstanding the terror of Halloween Horror Nights! Craving the ultimate summer thrills? Then a trip to Volcano Bay fits the bill! I could go on and on about Universal Orlando Resort! From family trips full of adventure to adult weekends at festivals and special events, there is no wrong time to plan a visit here!
Mexico
Of course, you expect the first couple of destinations to be on my list, but in 2021 I ventured out of my comfort zone to learn several new things for my clients. Mexico was on that list and boy was I surprised. To be transparent, I was not at all looking forward to expanding in this direction but I am so very glad that I did! I was blown away by most of the resorts I was able to visit and enjoy! Such hospitality, high quality, and wonderful experiences for both couples and families in Mexico! Breathtaking beaches and mouth watering cuisine met me each day there and I can fully recommend certain resorts to you! There are properties to fit the bill for every type of trip!
The Caribbean
It doesn’t take much convincing for most folks to be excited by the possibility of travel here! All Inclusive resorts and beach clubs, beautiful blue water, and sensational sunsets are just a few of the things that come to mind when I think of venturing here. Jamaica, Bahamas, the list goes on and on. Just like the feels of Mexico, the hospitality and service were top notch and the perfect places for honeymoons, anniversaries, weddings, couples trips, just about anything you can think of. I must admit, not being a tropical vacation kind of girl, I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy and learn about these places. There is so much to offer here to get away in a beautiful and safe environment!

If you’ve been cooped up all this time and you are ready for an adventure, there’s no better time to start planning and if you are not quite ready to chart your course, there will be no shortage of amazing things out there when you and your family are ready! I just can’t help but be optimistic for the brand new slate of 2022 travel laid before us!
