There has been a TON of holiday news in the past several weeks and it
is making me so excited for the coming holidays at Walt Disney World
Resort! I’m going to give you a run down of the things you won’t want
to miss during your holiday Disney vacation!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Without a doubt, the return of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is
one of the most exciting announcements of late! Tickets go on sale for
this ticketed event next week and can be purchased for select dates
running from November 8-December 22, 2022! From the details, it seems
this event is returning with most of our favorite staples. Castle
shows, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and the beloved
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the event is sure to give
you all the holiday feels you can handle…..and then they will top it
off with that Main Street snow! It’s the only event of the year where
you can go through Magic Kingdom sampling cookies and cocoa just like
Santa!

Beacons of Magic

So, the Beacons of Magic in each park will continue celebrating WDW’s
50th with their iridescent glow…..but mingled into these beautiful
lightings will be holiday projections as well. And be sure that you
pay close attention, you may spot some magical things happening in and
around your favorite park icons to celebrate the season!

The Epcot
International Festival of the Holidays

Next up is one of my favorite Epcot festivals’ returns! The Epcot
International Festival of the Holidays hosts World Showcase countries
and so many more in displays of their unique holiday celebrations and
traditions! And while you are strolling around the festival…….make
sure you make time for two most important things, cookies and
Candlelight Processional! What could be better than a tummy full of
cookies from the Holiday Cookie Stroll and an evening listening to a
beautiful chorus and celebrity narrators tale the story of the birth
of Christ! This festival is also very unique in that some of the
countries actually have their version of Santa telling their magical
holiday tales for you throughout the Showcase, another favorite of
mine!

Resort hopping

Resort hopping? Yes, resort hopping. Generally, this would be something
you would do if you were trying to scope out your “home” for your next
trip, but during the holidays at Walt Disney World resort hopping is a
unique way to celebrate the season! Several resorts on
property that are lucky enough during the holidays to host massive and
elaborate Gingerbread Houses courtesy of Disney’s unparalleled
culinary and pastry wizards. These creations are as festive as they
are over the top! The details, the yummy smell, the samples LOL! I
love mapping out a down day with a few visits to the resort’s hosting.
And, in addition to that, every resort has a holiday tree! My favorite
is the tree at Wilderness Lodge! It truly is the best tree in the
Wilderness!

SANTA!

When Mickey Mouse himself thinks of magic, there are only two words
more magical than him and that is SANTA! I am excited that this year
Santa will return to each of the 4 main theme parks as well as Disney
Springs! Of course, as I mentioned before, Epcot will have multiple
culturally diverse Santas in the World Showcase pavilions. And if you
are looking just around the river bend in Animal Kingdom, you are sure
to spot Santa floating along in his Christmas cheer boat! But at
Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Disney Springs, you’ll get to
see old Kris Kringle up close and personal with special meet and
greets that can be captured on your memory maker!

While there are so many more things that you must see and do at WDW
during the holidays, these are a few of my top picks! We all love
Disney and its magic. But there is something different in the air
there during the holidays that makes it magical times 10!
