So, I have been working on this particular blog for quite some time.
In fact, ever since I wrote my “Tour De Mac N Cheese”, I have been
wanting to continue this theme in other culinary avenues at Disney. So
after much painstaking research, I am presenting to you my official
“Tour De Charcuterie”! And if you guys know me at all, my love of
charcuterie can’t be compared to many other things. It’s a bit of an
obsession with me and I know with some of you as well. I am here to
help you experience the best cheese boards on Disney property, so
bring your appetite for this one!

Baseline Taphouse

Our first stop on this Tour is in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at
Baseline Taphouse. This might be a place that you haven’t noticed,
being tucked next to Sci-Fi and on the way to Galaxy’s Edge, but true
me, the board here is definitely worth taking the time to notice. The
California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate, at only $10 is an absolutely
delicious steal! This board features Toma Farmstead cheese, blue and
goat cheese, Chorizo, grapes, and other accompaniments. Paired with
some of Baseline’s amazing drinks, this is a wonderfully tasty and
filling snack!

Hollywood Brown Derby

While we are in Hollywood Studios, let’s head across the way to my
favorite restaurant in the park, Hollywood Brown Derby! Don’t be
deceived by this board’s simple description of the menu. This “chef’s
selection of cured meats, cheeses, and accompaniments”, is anything
but boring. My two favorite things on this board are without question
the syrupy sweet honeycomb and the adorable mini jar of sassy spicy
house-made pickles! This selection is priced at $21.00 and worth this
cost considering the quality of the offering. This one has all the
glam of Hollywood in charcuterie form! It’s the perfect way to kick
off a star-studded meal at Hollywood Brown Derby!

The next stop on my Tour is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and
Spa at the Enchanted Rose Lounge. This lounge is by far one of my
favorite spots to hang out. Their staff is by far some of my favorite
cast on property! Again, I am stressing with this board, do not be
fooled by its menu description. The “Artisanal Cheese Selections” of
cheese, pine nut bread, and raisins on the vine hardly capture the
scope of flavors and goodness on this charcuterie offering. Pricing at
$19, this is a great price point to share with friends. And, with
Enchanted Rose’s amazing selections of wines, you cannot go wrong.
Make sure you always ask your server for some perfect pairing
suggestions!

Gran Destino Tower

Speaking of charcuterie at resorts, I’m taking you over to the
stunning Gran Destino Tower to Toledo Tapas, Steak, and Seafood. I’ll
touch in a later blog on what a major sleeper this restaurant is, but
for now, let’s focus on one of the kings of the charcuterie
boards…the Spaniard for Two! And by two, they can only mean this can
serve two guests with HUGE appetites that aren’t eating anything else
with their meal because this board is enormous! Again, I have to
stress, that the not so exciting menu description of this offering is super
deceiving. This board is full of the chef’s choice of Spanish cheeses,
cured meats, and tons of accompaniments. The jar of olives and a huge
slathering of fig jam is enough to make my charcuterie lovin’ heart
dance the Flamenco! Pairing here with cocktails and wine are also
amazing! This bard prices at $35, but for the sheer size and variety,
this is a very appropriate price point!

Jock Linsday’s Hanger Bar

We’ve traveled to parks, we have made our way to resorts, so now, this
Tour De Charcuterie takes us to Disney Springs! Not going to lie, this
first stop has been on my list for a super long time and may have been
the reason it took me so long to complete my list of chosen boards,
but well worth the wait! We must discuss the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded
Pretzel. Now, this is a description that had me salivating ever since
its debut on the Jock Linsday menu. Prosciutto, Sliced Brats, Artisan
Pepperoni, Smoked Cheddar, Black Diamond Cheddar, Caraway Pickles,
Spicy mustard Fondue all snuggled together around a ginormous warm,
salty pretzel! What is not to love about this offering…. Absolute
nothing! This one lived up to all the Instagram photos and the hype!
If you have some time to hang out at Hanger Bar, this is the board to
enjoy!

Wine Bar George

The last stop on my Tour De Charcuterie is none other than Wine Bar
George
. You may as well not even discuss charcuterie if you don’t
mention George! The “Big Board” as it’s known is an absolutely HUGE
board with six artisanal cheeses, five artisanal meats, and tons of
condiments and accompaniments. The absolute standard of perfection of
boards both in size and selection. After all, what would you expect
from one of the top locations to dine in all of Disney Springs! Its
The $61.00 price point makes it great for sharing with friends at brunch,
pairing perfectly with Frozcato Mimosas (made with DOLE WHIP
Pineapple) all around!

So this completes my Tour De Charcuterie! I hope that you have some
time during some of your visits to put these boards to the test and
give me your thoughts! After all, if this kind of adventure is wrong,
then I don’t want to be right! Disney is always known for its food,
and its unique takes on charcuterie are no exception! So search out
your perfect cheese board and enjoy it to the fullest! As Remy would
say, “If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good
stuff!”
